The Cleveland Plain Dealer, from 1845 though 1991, is available online through the Cleveland Public Library's Research Databases page. While searching for more information about Jewish members of Cleveland's City Council. I found this story by Karl. K. Kitchen titled "Rise and Fall of Czar Bernstein".  It is written in a florid "Sunday Supplement" style, for that it is what is was: the lead story in the Magazine section of the Sunday April 21, 1907 Plain Dealer.   Arnold Berger  December 13, 2010
